Please come celebrate the launch of Some Days I Think I Know Things: The Cassandra Poems. Reading and launch party to be held at The Cube Gallery in the Hintonburg area of Ottawa on Wednesday, September 17th at 7:30pm.

The Ottawa International Writers Festival – Fall Edition takes place this year from October 18-25, 2008. (Click here to go to the Festival site for more information: www.writersfestival.org ) I am reading on Tuesday, October 21st as part of the Tree Reading Series evening, along with Anne Compton and Mike Blouin. Following the reading, there will be a panel discussion on the use of humour in poetry and fiction. The reading will be at the National Library and will start at 8pm.

Don’t miss Arc Magazine’s 30th Birthday Bash on Thursday, October 23rd at the Ottawa International Writers Festival. More info here: www.arcpoetry.ca (You should subscribe!)

On Saturday, October 25th, I will also be hosting the poetry cabaret at the Festival, with poets Monty Reid, Dannabang Kuwabong and Tim Lilburn. (8pm, National Library)

For the January 2009 issue of Ottawater (www.ottawater.com) I was asked to contribute an essay on my personal poetics. You can read the essay online in January and I’ll post a link here as soon as it’s available.
