Rhonda Douglas currently lives in Ottawa. Originally from Grand Bank Newfoundland, she has won prizes in the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts & Letters Competition, and in the Gregory J. Power Poetry Contest at Memorial University. In 2006, she won both The Malahat Review’s Far Horizons Award for Poetry and Arc Magazine’s Diana Brebner Award. Her work has been published in literary journals across Canada and in New Zealand. Her poetry collection, Some Days I Think I Know Things: The Cassandra Poems, was published by Signature Editions in September 2008. Rhonda is a graduate of the Humber School for Writers (short fiction) and is completing the Optional-Residency MFA Program in Creative Writing at UBC.
